Simem Mixing Technology Working to Advance Concrete Production and Quality In July 2000 Besser Company became the exclusive North American distributor for Simem, one of the world leaders in concrete mixing, headquartered in Verona, Italy. Ongoing Simem North America operations were absorbed by Besser Simem. Judi Taylor, Besser Simem product manager and Becky Barnes, office manager, will remain in Denver, Colorado operating the Besser Simem customer service offices. Former president of Simem North American operations, Robert Ober, has relocated to Besser Appco in San Antonio, Texas. He will manage the concrete production and delivery systems for the Besser Simem product line. Besser Simem is supported by a team of talented engineers and sales personnel who are knowledgeable in the technologies of mixing and delivery systems. The Besser Simem product line includes
spiral blade, twin shaft, planetary counter current and continuous
mixers. These mixers are used for the production of concrete in all
segments of the industry including architectural and standard concrete
masonry units, landscaping and paving products, ready mix, pipe, roof
tile, prestress, precast and concrete paving for infrastructure.
