RELEASE For more information contact: Customers to Benefit from New Staff On 10 May 1999, Ryan LaVigne was hired at Besser Company as a management trainee. Since May, Ryan has performed several assignments which have included working for Jim Nye Masonry Construction and Lamar Construction on building the Thunder Bay Recreation Center in Alpena, Michigan. Ryan then assisted in the Besser central order department, inventory control, mold engineering, product engineering and mold assembly areas. Ryan recently earned an associates in applied science degree in concrete masonry technology from Alpena Community College in Alpena, Michigan. He has also completed several of the Blockmakers Workshops®. Ryan is currently working in the technical service area providing telephone support to Besser customers. Besser Company announced the addition of Ralph W. Schlereth to the North Central sales district effective 1 July 1999. For the past 12 years, he has worked as a Besser service technician. In this previous role, he installed and serviced equipment around the world. Ralph’s experience in the concrete masonry industry and his knowledge of Besser equipment is a great asset to customers throughout the district. Prior to joining Besser, Ralph earned a mechanical engineering technology degree from Sheridan College in Toronto, Canada. Ralph resides in Georgetown, Ontario, Canada. (The North Central district is comprised of Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio and Tennessee.) Barry R. Keller joined Besser Company on 1 August 1999 as a sales representative for the Southeast District. He joins Besser with experience in the masonry and construction fields. In his previous employment, Barry implemented sales/service programs through cold calling, contract negotiation, and extensive customer service. He has also developed training programs for masonry vocational students. Barry received a bachelor of arts degree in finance from Texas Technical University in Lubbock, Texas. Barry lives in Winter Park, Florida. (The Southeast district includes Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, South Carolina, part of North Carolina and one county in Virginia.) |
